Shipping and Receiving Associate *Shift: 1st Shift, (Shift May Vary)* *Pay Rate: $20-$23/hr. (Depending on experience)* We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team in a flat rolled manufacturing environment. This position will focus on receiving, inspecting, storing, and preparing shipments of flat rolled materials such as metal sheets or coils. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and focused on quality control, ensuring all incoming and outgoing materials meet our high standards. Job Responsibilities: Unload flat rolled materials from trucks using forklifts or overhead cranes. Visually inspect incoming materials for damages, defects, surface imperfections, and dimensional accuracy. Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips. Report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel. Store materials in designated areas based on material type, size, and quality. Pick and stage materials based on customer orders. Inspect flat rolled materials before shipment to ensure quality and compliance with customer specifications. Package materials securely for transport, using protective wrapping and proper securing methods. Experience in shipping and receiving, particularly in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts or overhead cranes (training available if needed). Strong attention to detail, especially with inspecting materials for quality and quantity.
