The Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer is focused on identifying and providing solutions for the technical and regulatory challenges in the Pipeline Industry. The role is part of the Advanced Engineering Pipeline business unit and coordinates with the team to identify opportunities for growth and ensure alignment and consistency in the deliverables to customers. Pipeline integrity covers a broad range of engineering opportunities. The primary focus of this position is to develop and implement services that support integrity management planning, threat mitigation planning, and regulatory/code compliance. Additionally, this person will work to find pipeline integrity management solutions that leverage the synergy of other Advanced Engineering Pipeline expertise, including Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) and Pipeline Analysis Services (PAS), and align with our Inspection Pipeline business.

As a Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and creating new opportunities for the Advanced Engineering Pipeline business unit by engaging and aligning with the Inspection Pipeline business unit and regional sales team.

  • Providing technical execution related to pipeline integrity projects, including but not limited to, integrity management planning threat identification, and regulatory/code compliance.

  • Supporting engineers in fitness-for-purpose assessments of pipeline condition and remaining life assessments.

  • Managing projects and deliverables while ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables and adherence to project budget.

  • Communicating clearly with customers and with colleagues on:

    • Presenting final reports.

    • Interim and time sensitive findings as applicable.

    • Analysis and software trainings as required.

  • Providing oversight for projects and mentor junior engineers.

  • Providing input to Advanced Engineering Pipeline annual budget.

  • Working with management to ensure that the Pipeline Integrity team is adequately resourced and being responsible for the training of existing and new resources.

  • Providing forecasts for growth and identifying areas for expansion.

  • Building and maintaining strong client relations.

  • Complying with all local governmental requirements as set forth to perform required duties.

  • Acting with integrity, and never compromising on health, safety & environment, and quality.

  • Acting in accordance with all company policies required as applicable to a People Leader position.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or mathematical field.

  • Have 10+ years of pipeline industry experience and technical knowledge of pipeline integrity engineering, including up to 5 years of previous employment by a pipeline operator/owner.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess an understanding of the consulting business and the ability to think and plan strategically.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with global pipeline regulations and standards, with demonstrated expertise in relevant ASME, API, BS, AS, and NACE.

  • Demonstrate excellent ability to represent the company in a professional manner in communicating and interfacing with customers and ability to maintain company and customer confidentiality.

  • Maintain a customer focused approach with excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to work in a team environment.

  • Be proficient in English (verbal and written).

* Working conditions include a balance of normal office environment with visits to customers and industry events. Must be prepared to wear complete personal protection equipment as required by company or customer. Position may require up to 30% travel, both domestic and internationally.
