Mechanic I-Position Summary:
The essential job duties of this position include troubleshooting, repairing equipment, performing necessary preventive maintenance in all areas of equipment including but not limited to sorting, washroom, production and ancillary equipment.
Position responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and pneumatic controls; rebuilding pumps, valves, regulators; and/or steam system repairs.
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams and use a variety of testing equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the board level.
- Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment.
- Other mechanical duties as assigned.

Experience

- Accredited certificates for industrial maintenance trade school or electrical trade school.

Mechanic II-Position Summary:
This position handles aiding (at a higher level) with repairing and keeping industrial laundry facilities with washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers. An electrical background is preferred and the ability to repair the equipment mentioned is preferred. In addition, this position handles aiding (at a higher level) with preventive maintenance, fixing safety concerns, and keeping facility. Daily accuracy and productivity of work is necessary for inventory control and accountability as well. Add responsibilities include housekeeping and adherence to health and safety standards
Position responsibilities:
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Performs mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- This position runs at a slightly higher level than the level I run.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Performs basic plumbing and carpentry work as needed.
- Follows OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION:
Experience
- 3+ years of related experience in repairing industrial machinery or two years at the level I position to gain understanding of industrial machinery.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
Skills/Abilities
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Earlier hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC is a plus.
Mechanic III-Position Summary:
Find all equipment in need of repair to include but not limited to isolation of bad part/parts, recommend parts and repairs, testing of completed repairs, coordination with any outside vendors, fabrication when needed, communication of any significant down time, assignment of repairs to other mechanics, assignment of PM's.
Position responsibilities:
- Perform predefined preventive maintenance procedures at specific time intervals
- Performs downtime repair work on industrial commercial laundry equipment
- Performs predefined equipment or facility work
QUALIFICATION:
Required Experience
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Boiler license preferred
Skills/Abilities
- Use of multi-meter, welder, read schematics, fabrication, has own tools, familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, Kemco systems, and electrical.
- Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLCs and PLC related problems
- Must be skilled in the use of PCs and Microsoft Office
- Must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Preferred experience working with high pressure steam boilers and alike systems
- Must be proficient in welding, repair and fabrication of parts
- Must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical breakdowns
- Must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair electrical breakdowns
WORKING CONDITIONS
List the characteristics representative of the work environment a person in this position may encounter. The production department is a warehouse/plant facility that is not climate controlled and runs seven days a week, 264 days (about 8 and a half months) per year. Flexibility working on weekends and major holidays are necessary to provide year-round service to customers.
