Clinical Faculty, Professional Track (FY2024-2025)

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking applicants for professional track positions including Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Clinical Associate Professor. We have faculty openings for nurses with Pediatric, Adult Health, and PMHNP experience. Please see qualifications for the different positions.

Pediatric and Adult Health Position Qualifcations

Candidates should hold a Master's in Nursing and have at least one year of clinical experience in pediatric nursing. Earned doctorate and teaching experience preferred. Prior to any appointment, candidates will be asked to submit three letters of recommendation. Successful candidates are expected to teach; be involved in service to the university, the community, and the profession; provide official college transcripts; and provide evidence of immunizations and current RN licensure, certifications as applicable, CPR, and PPD. Licensure, Certification, CPR, and PPD must be kept current while teaching.

PMHNP Position Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing and be nationally certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Clinical and teaching experience preferred. Prior to any appointment, candidates will be asked to submit three letters of recommendation. Successful candidates are expected to teach; be involved in service to the university, the community, and the profession; provide official college transcripts; and provide evidence of immunizations and current RN licensure, certifications (if applicable), CPR, and PPD. Licensure, certification, CPR, and PPD must be kept current while teaching.
