Registration Representative:

Summary: Under the general direction of the Patient Access Manager, and/or Director, the Patient Registration Clerk performs a variety of registration duties. The Patient Registration Clerk provides access to healthcare by performing various duties in a professional and compassionate manner. Registration services includes registration of inpatient and outpatient service along with a wide variety of clerical and general administrative duties. Obtains and enters into the computer-based patient registration/scheduling system, demographic, insurance and other related patient information. General administrative duties include answering telephones, assisting with patient wayfinding, and providing estimates. Collects patient liabilities prior to or on the date of service, as appropriate. Staff is instrumental in maintaining good interpersonal relationships with peers, patients, visitors, physicians, and ancillary personnel. Obtains patient and witness signatures for all paperwork, including but not limited to Consent to Tret, HIPAA, Privacy, Medicare Rights, Important Message for Medicare, Patient Rights, etc. Is responsible for maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Financial Counselor:

Summary: Under the general direction of the Financial Counseling Supervisor/Manager and/or Financial Clearance Director, the Financial Counselor (Certified Application Counselor) provides a key role in providing a health care coverage needs assessment with patients, community applicants, and family members. Determines eligibility for MassHealth, Qualified Health Plans, Children's Health Insurance, Health Safety net and any other coverage that they may qualify. Provides guidance and assistance to patients, various internal UMass staff, physician offices and third-party vendors regarding financial assistance programs.

Adheres to the coding and billing regulations established by the American Hospital Association (AHA), American Medical Association (AMA), and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Effectively corresponds with physicians for clarification of diagnosis or procedures and assists with identifying and reporting quality assurance issues.

Network Engineer:

Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Cisco network, Checkpoint firewalls, F5 Big IP load balancers, and Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE). Activities include updating and monitoring firewalls, installation and maintenance of switches, security and vulnerability management of the network equipment, and response to both service and cyber security incidents. Interfaces with network engineers, security team, and other infrastructure disciplines daily.

Summary: Designs, implements, and supports solutions to integrate voice, video, and collaboration systems within the UMass Memorial enterprise. Registered Nurse, Home Health and Hospice:

Summary: The Home Health & Hospice RN (HHHRN) provides care to patients who are in need of care in their homes. Home health & hospice nursing practice considers the needs of the patient, their family and/or the patient's caregivers. The HHHRN provides care to patients across the lifespan, from prenatal to post-death periods. Home health nursing takes a holistic approach to personal health practices when treating diseases or disabilities. The practice embraces primary, secondary and tertiary prevention; assisting patients and families to coordinate community resources and health insurance benefits as well as hands on delivery of nursing services in the patient's home.

Summary: The primary function of the Police Sergeant is to plan, organize, direct and supervise the operations and activities of a team of police officers and civilian personnel assigned to the Patrol Division. The Sergeant also performs police duties including patrol, traffic enforcement, crime prevention, criminal investigation, and community service. The Sergeant will direct employee performance and assist with organizational development processes, will serve as a positive role model within the Department and as an exemplary representative to the UMass Memorial Community. The Program Director manages the efficient functioning of clinical and business processes necessary for quality care delivery.

Position Qualifications:

Required:

1. Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field: psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy.

2. Some programs may require independent licensure including LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.

Preferred:

1. Licensed Addition and Drug Counselor (LADC) may be preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

1. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

2. Knowledge of community behavioral health operations.

3. Knowledge of clinical treatment and/or crisis management with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorder.

4. Effective communication with consumers, staff, peers, and other professionals.

5. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.

Preferred:

1. Strong organizational and delegation skills.

2. Ability to identify priority tasks in fast paced environments.

Assistant Director:

Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing daily operation of the program consistent with administrative, programmatic and clinical policies of Community Healthlink, Inc and applicable external funding sources and regulatory bodies.

1. Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related human services field.
2. Independently licensed as an LICSW, LMHC, or Psychologist.

Experience/Skills:

1. Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
2. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Product Assistant:

Summary: Cleans, prepares, slices, chops, mixes, seasons, portions, wraps and labels food products including but not limited to vegetables, fruits, salads, sandwiches as well some hot food products. Portions desserts, prepares and uses food garnishes.

1. Must be able to follow oral and written directions. Requires simple use of formulas and adjustable measuring instruments and graduates. Over 3 and up to and including 6 months training. Employees must be at least 18 years of age to perform this role.

(HAC only) Current Basic Life Support Certification required within 30 days of hire.
