Scrap Yard Attendant-Pewaukee

Pewaukee facility - Inspector - temp-to-hire or direct hire - up to $21/hr. Hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm Mon - Fri. Saturdays OT 7:30am 11:45am

• Works outside, but has access to an inspection shack to warm up in-between customers with other inspectors; main inspection area is covered overhead to protect from outside conditions (rain, snow, sun). Would be trained by us in identification of different commodities of ferrous and nonferrous metals.
• Will interact directly with customers and truck drivers to watch the unloading of materials and to direct these customers to the proper location within our facility to unload, and to monitor the unloading.
• Inspector grades the materials on behalf of the Company, and take deductions for nonconforming materials (wood, plastic, water, dirt, etc.) that are communicated to our scale, operations and marketing team.
• This job is considered production though a lot of what they do is communicate with the scrap customers which means we need someone who has patience and a likeable personality with all kinds of people. Someone who has good common sense is a good fit for this role.
• Does not require prior experience, but we need the right personality fit.
