Position description

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers a one-year post-sophomore/junior fellowship in pathology. After an orientation period, fellows are given patient care responsibilities similar to first-year residents with appropriate supervision. Fellows rotate on various anatomic and clinical pathology services including surgical pathology, transfusion medicine, hematopathology, clinical chemistry, and autopsy, amongst others, at the UCLA Medical Center. Depending on interest and feasibility, opportunities exist for clinical/translational research and clinical electives.

Basic qualifications

Applicant must currently be enrolled in medical school and have completed at least two years of medical school at the start of fellowship.
