Medical Assistant - Pediatrics at Swedish Pediatrics - West Seattle

Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday

Location: West Seattle, Washington

This is a combined posting for an Associate Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C), and Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C). The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Associate Medical Assistant:

The Associate MA - Certified (MA-C) work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An associate MA-C is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required qualifications:



  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)


Preferred qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or alternate training program
  • 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR)


Associate Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Min: $22.84, Max: $34.90

Medical Assistant - Certified:

The MA - Certified (MA-C) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA-C performs all aspects of the Associate MA-C role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA-C is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • 6 months Healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience


Preferred qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam
  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire


Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Min: $24.76, Max: $37.82
