In this role, you will work alongside industry experts in a rapidly growing business. We are looking for demonstrated performance in an ever-changing environment, along with strong problem-solving and leadership skills with limited oversight.

This role is a combination of Account Strategy and Campaign Management.

As an Account Strategist, you will be responsible for helping grow advertising partnerships. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Ad Sales, Product, and Category Marketing teams, while interfacing externally with suppliers' Brand Managers, Analytics, and E-Commerce teams, as well as their National Media and Shopper Marketing agencies. You will excel in problem-solving, spearhead process execution, and ensure end-to-end follow-through on complex, revenue-generating projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Proposal Development & Strategy: Partner with Sales professionals to develop media proposals, evaluate deals, coordinate revisions, and drive follow-ups. Collaborate on Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Joint Business Partnerships.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage day-to-day accounts and supplier partnerships, identifying organic growth opportunities to expand revenue beyond baseline contracted amounts.
  • Campaign Leadership: Lead campaign kick-offs, performance reviews, and strategic optimization discussions directly with clients.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expertise on campaign specifications, asset tagging, and ad-tech implementation while handling troubleshooting and conflict resolution.
  • Performance Accountability: Consistently deliver on core revenue goals and role-specific performance metrics.

Key Areas of Impact

  • Manage supplier campaigns, budgets, and associated revenue streams.
  • Build strategic media recommendations aligned with supplier business goals and marketing objectives.
  • Drive the end-to-end creative workflow between brand partners and internal creative teams.
  • Partner closely with Campaign Management teams on campaign activation, trafficking, and performance optimizations.
  • Maintain regular, transparent communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout campaign lifecycles.
  • Coordinate with Measurement & Analytics teams to guarantee accurate data reporting and performance attribution.
  • Translate campaign reporting into actionable insights that drive client growth and incremental media investment.
  • Oversee monthly campaign billing workflows to ensure timely reconciliation and financial delivery.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal merchandising teams to deliver measurable commercial results for brand partners.
  • Mentor Senior Campaign Managers and junior team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Demonstrated experience leading client-facing relationships and working cross-functionally across complex organizational structures.
  • Proven track record in media planning, strategy, and campaign recommendation development.
  • Strong project management abilities with meticulous attention to detail and accountability.
  • Working knowledge of digital advertising technologies, data management platforms (DMPs), analytics, and quantitative attribution modeling.
  • High adaptability and resourcefulness in navigating large-scale enterprise environments while maintaining operational agility.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex media concepts simply and persuasively.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively under pressure and handle ambiguous, ad-hoc client requests.
  • Confidence in identifying critical operational issues and escalating solutions to leadership.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset capable of influencing retail media investment.
