Solution Sales Director For Pharma

The Solution Director - Smart Manufacturing is accountable for building and scaling TCS' Smart Manufacturing business in North America by owning growth outcomes, acting as the solution authority for differentiated autonomy led offerings, and serving as a trusted CXO advisor for enterprise manufacturing transformation.

The Solution Director for Smart Manufacturing and Industrial Autonomy & Engineering (IAE) is a senior, highly visible leadership role responsible for building and scaling TCS's Smart Manufacturing business as a core pillar of autonomous industrial transformation.

Following are some of the key roles and responsibilities:

Growth & Business Ownership

* Primary focus on large, multi plant and enterprise scale programs ($25M+ TCV) across North American manufacturing clients.

* Originate and shape proactive, consultative pursuits into qualified, funded programs.

Strategic Advisory & Client Engagement

* Act as a trusted CXO level advisor to clients on Smart Manufacturing and Physical AI transformation agendas

* Lead value led conversations, and roadmap discussions linking plant level initiatives to enterprise outcomes

Ecosystem & Market Positioning

* Build on our partnerships

* Drive market visibility through analyst engagement, lighthouse demos, and industry forums

* Represent TCS in external evangelism platforms including PACE Ports, IAE Labs, and marquee industry events

Internal Influence & Leadership

* Influence account teams, sales leadership, and delivery stakeholders with clear solution direction and market insights

* Mentor solution and advisory talent to strengthen Smart Manufacturing and Physical AI capability

KPIs relevant for the role

* Revenue and pipeline growth:

o TCV from Smart Manufacturing: $YM annually

o Number of transformational programs from TCV > $10 M

* Thought Leadership:

o Contribution to Smart Manufacturing thought leadership (POVs, roadmaps, executive decks)

o Recognition as a trusted Smart Manufacturing advisor by key clients

* Offering Reimagination

o Number of services reimagined in in line with TCS' Human + AI framework

Building outcome-based models (OEE, yield, downtime reduction, energy efficiency)

Qualifications

* Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Manufacturing, or equivalent); Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Operations, or Management preferred

* Overall 13+ years of experience in Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, or Operations Consulting roles within IT Services, Engineering Services, or Manufacturing enterprises

* Proven track record of owning P&L, revenue growth, and large transformation programs in multi-geo environments

* Hands-on exposure to manufacturing plants and shop-floor operations across discrete, process, or hybrid industries

* Strong experience working with global clients using onsite-offshore and distributed delivery models

* Exposure to large global deals, complex pursuits, and CXO-level consulting-led engagements

* Experience working with automation vendors, industrial OEMs, Hyperscalers, and ecosystem partners

* Prior roles in organizations such as TCS / Infosys / Accenture / Deloitte / Capgemini / IBM / HCL or equivalent industry experience preferred

Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 a year
