Job Summary

We're looking for a Supplier Quality Program Leader to lead Chromalloy's enterprise supplier quality program and strengthen supplier performance across our aerospace manufacturing, repair, PMA, and contract-maintenance operations. This role provides leadership, direction, and coaching while maintaining a strong focus on aviation safety, quality, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and supplier development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building a risk-based supplier quality program, leading supplier qualification and performance management, and standardizing supplier controls across the enterprise, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Work That Matters

At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. As a supplier quality leader, you'll play a key role in strengthening supplier capability, reducing risk, improving performance, and delivering results that help keep aircraft flying safely around the world.

Location: Any US Chromalloy location

Travel: Approximately 30-50% domestic and international travel to supplier and Chromalloy sites

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build, implement, and continuously improve an enterprise supplier quality program for ECRS and PARTS suppliers.
  • Create a risk-based supplier segmentation model using part criticality, regulatory requirements, special processes, accreditation, escapes, performance, single-source exposure, and counterfeit risk.
  • Own governance of the enterprise approved supplier list, including approval scope, supplier status, qualification, requalification, and disqualification requirements.
  • Lead supplier audits, source inspections, first article reviews, special-process assessments, and performance-based surveillance.
  • Establish supplier scorecards and executive-level reporting for quality, delivery, responsiveness, audit results, corrective-action effectiveness, and overall risk.
  • Lead containment, root cause, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and escalation for systemic or high-risk supplier issues.
  • Integrate FAA, EASA, CAAC, AS9100, AS9120, NADCAP, customer, and counterfeit-parts prevention requirements into standardized supplier controls.
  • Serve as the business process owner for supplier quality workflows in ComplianceQuest, including risk scores, audits, escapes, corrective actions, and dashboards.
  • Standardize procedures, forms, audit criteria, data practices, and escalation processes across Chromalloy sites.
  • Coach and mentor supplier quality engineers, buyers, auditors, and site quality leaders while influencing suppliers and internal partners across the enterprise.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace quality, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or regulatory compliance.
  • 5+ years of leadership or program-management experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, repair station, PMA, or supply-chain environments.
  • Experience building or leading risk-based supplier qualification, audit, surveillance, and performance-management programs.
  • Hands-on experience with special processes, first article inspection, supplier corrective action, counterfeit-parts prevention, and approved supplier controls.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Parts 21 and 145, with experience supporting EASA, CAAC, or other aviation authority requirements.
  • Ability to influence across sites and functions, communicate with senior leaders, and make disciplined decisions when supplier risk is high.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Supplier Quality Professional, or equivalent certification.
  • AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous-improvement certification.
  • NADCAP audit, special-process accreditation, or supplier-development experience.
  • Experience implementing supplier-quality processes in ComplianceQuest or a comparable enterprise quality-management system.
  • Experience supporting multiple aerospace facilities and international suppliers.

Leadership Expectations and Values

  • Model the Way - Leads with integrity and accountability, holding themselves to the same standards expected of others and consistently following through on commitments.
  • Inspire a Shared Vision - Connects team efforts to a clear, meaningful purpose while balancing strategic priorities with disciplined day-to-day execution.
  • Challenge the Process - Brings curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement, questioning assumptions and championing innovation even in complex environments.
  • Enable Others to Act - Builds strong, inclusive partnerships that share ownership, develop others, and value diverse perspectives.
  • Encourage the Heart - Recognizes contributions genuinely and celebrates shared values to build a culture of appreciation, respect, and accountability.
