This is a full-time benefited position, working Monday-Friday. Position is located at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista.

About the role:

As Wound Ostomy Incontinence Nurse, you will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and ongoing modification of system wide programs to assure evidence-based skin, wound, ostomy and continence care.

• Provide direct patient care and education to selected patients.
• Serve as a clinical consultant.
• Support staff development in areas of expertise to all members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other internal and external customers.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• 2 years of clinical practice within the last 4 years.

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current RN license in California.

• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate.
• Graduate of an accredited school of WOCN or Wound Care Certification (WCC) or WCC or WOCN education in progress with completion within 2 years of hire.
  

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• Current Certification as a WOCN or WON.
