Position Title: Fabrication Machine Operator
Wage: $17.12 per hour Shift: 2nd or 3rd Hours: 3:00pm - 11:00pm or 11:00pm - 7:00am The Fabrication Machine Operator position in Rockford, IL offers a dynamic opportunity to work in a fabrication, packaging environment. Fabrication Machine Operator Responsibilities: - Tend to and operate one or more metal fabrication production machines according to established specifications - Observe machine operation, follow work instructions, and report any malfunctions promptly - Remove finished parts, separate runners from products, and load inserts as necessary - Feed strips into presses to support the manufacturing process - Visually inspect parts for defects and measure dimensions with gages or tools - Pack finished products into cartons, attach shipping labels, and perform basic assembly tasks when required - Maintain accurate production counts and record keeping - Sort through finished goods with a keen eye to notice defects and differentiate batch numbers Requirements for Fabrication Machine Operator: - Able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the shift - Able to stand, walk and perform repetitive movement required for the duration of a 8-10 hour shift - Prior experience operating manufacturing machinery is strongly preferred - Excellent attendance - Able to work overtime as needed - Good communication skills IND017 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
