Manufacturing Machine Operator

2nd shift- Mon-Fri, 3pm - 11pm

Job Responsibities:



  • Set up and operate machines. Install, change, and prep components where applicable.
  • Determine amount of stock to remove while working within tolerances.
  • Gage product to insure proper dimensions.
  • Quality check product to verify visual characteristics.
  • Pull samples and record inspection results on route card.
  • Place product into proper contrainers and move them to the next operation.
  • Separate scrap from good product, document accurately.
  • Scan correct production information.
  • Operate other equipment as needed.
  • Train new operators when required.
  • Operators should be capable of setting up machines and trouble shooting basic to moderate problems


Key Job Acountabilities:



  • Commitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures.
  • Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Operator responsible for following inspection control plan, assuring product is processed according to proper routings, specifications and that the quantity and style are correct.
  • Work to meet daily departmental production goals.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts.


Education and Experience:



  • Must have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
  • Completion of basic math, blueprint reading and gauge-reading training; and,
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers


Physical Demands:



  • Approximately eight (8), ten (10) or twelve (12) hours with scheduled break periods.
  • Standing, intermittent walking, reaching, sitting, bending and lifting product weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds.
  • Use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks, to operate machinery, and handle tools safely.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for reading gauges, inspecting products, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks are essential.
