Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness. Key Essential Functions/Duties:
- Food Safety: The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall support all elements of food safety within the warehouse. The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall report any/all food safety concerns to the Industrial Cleaning Manager or the Senior Industrial Cleaning Manager.
- Tasking: The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall be responsible for assisting in tasking the master cleaning schedule tasks in addition to the normal daily tasking. The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall be knowledgeable in how to properly log work completed in the master Industrial Cleaning schedule. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: effectively complete tasks assigned and supervise the completion of Industrial Cleaning subordinate tasking; supervise the Industrial Cleaning and production teams and engage in cleaning and sanitizing events; assist in the development of cleaning crews as well as Industrial Cleaning staff members through On-The-Job training; ensure the proper verification of cleaning and sanitization events through physical inspection.
- Cleaners & Materials; The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall be responsible for ensuring that all cleaners are used as set forth in the manufacturer's instructions.
- Chemical Testing: All bulk cleaning chemicals used in the facility must be diluted. Material used to test the proper dilutions of said chemicals will be provided by the chemical manufacturer and the use of said test materials will be controlled by the Plant Industrial Cleaning Manager. The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all bulk chemicals are being dispensed at the proper dilution and that the equipment is functioning properly. All sanitizer dilutions will be tested and results documented. The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor will inform the Industrial Cleaning Manager of any deviations immediately.
- Training and Development: The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall facilitate the training and development of new team members to the Industrial Cleaning group.
- Quality Assurance Responsibility: The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall verify ingredient container integrity and assist with isolating, clean up and controlling damaged product. This shall include reporting damage to the warehouse supervisor or manager and maintaining documentation relating to corrective actions.
- People Safety: The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall verify equipment is maintained to OSHA standards and certifications remain current. This includes Hilo's, lifts etc. The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall perform eye wash station checks along with fire extinguisher and emergency lighting checks. Additional checks for AED/First Aid stations, battery hoist checks and dock checks shall also be performed with corrective actions documented for noncompliance observations. The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor shall be responsible for assisting the warehouse supervisor or manager with near-miss investigations and corrective action implementation.
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Basic Math and Reasoning Skills
- People and Team Leadership skills
- Working knowledge of Industrial Cleaning Practices and Program
- 2+ years of food industry cleaning systems management preferred
- Understand allergens and microbiological
- Experience in Continuous Improvement
- Strong project management and planning skills required
