As an intern in Financial Management, you'll have the opportunity to develop your accounting skills and build your career as you work to provide financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie.

Product Control and Valuations is a specialized team within Finance that independently validates the integrity, accuracy, completeness and valuation of all trading positions and relates to finance data in the book and records of the firm. The team provides independent validation of the appropriateness of the marks being used to value trading portfolios, which provides assurance to management of the integrity of the underlying P&L and to carry the value in the balance sheet. The team also enables timely management intervention as required.
Group Treasury enables key risk management decisions including funding, liquidity and capital allocations for our Commodities and Global Markets business. The team collaborates with stakeholders to critically assess commercial, balance sheet and regulatory risks on new business proposals.
What does our program offer?
As part of this ten-week internship, you will:
  • Complete meaningful and challenging work allowing you to gain practical experience to tie into your theoretical knowledge from school.
  • Take part in an orientation where you'll learn about Macquarie's business groups with your fellow Macquarie interns and receive technical training.
  • Receive support and guidance from your manager and aligned mentor.
  • Participate in philanthropic and social events to connect you to our inclusive culture.
  • Present a project you worked on during the program to senior management.

  • You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. This internship is for students expecting to graduate and complete your studies between December 2027 - June 2028.
  • You are a critical thinker with strong numerical skills and can articulate your thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.
  • You have an interest in financial services and coursework in accounting, economics or finance.
  • You bring a proactive, resourceful, and positive attitude as well as a powerful work ethic.
  • You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
