Job Summary Summary Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout a hospital or healthcare facility by performing routine cleaning, floor care, waste removal, and facility support services. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets. Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Cleans walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and glass surfaces. Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas. Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed. Collects and removes debris from buildings and surrounding areas. Operates high- and low-speed floor stripping and buffing machines. Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and routine hospital activities. Identifies and reports building maintenance needs within assigned buildings and facilities. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work independently but also be a team player. - Good communication and comprehension skills.
