Position Overview
The Busperson is responsible for supporting restaurant operations at Summit Rock Restaurant by maintaining clean and organized dining areas, stocking service stations, assisting servers, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the restaurant by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness throughout each shift.
The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Responsibilities


  • Set, clear, and reset dining tables promptly and efficiently.

  • Assist servers with food and beverage service as needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dining rooms, service stations, and guest areas.

  • Stock and replenish service supplies, including:


    • Plates and dinnerware

    • Glassware

    • Coffee cups, mugs, and saucers

    • Flatware and utensils



  • Replenish food and beverage stations as needed.

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris throughout the shift.

  • Clean and sanitize counters, shelves, service stations, and restaurant equipment.

  • Clean refrigerators, storage areas, drains, and service windows.

  • Complete storeroom requisitions and properly organize supplies.

  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain waste disposal areas.

  • Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

  • Support restaurant operations and perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Required Qualifications


  • Professional appearance and grooming standards.

  • Ability to wear the required uniform, including slip-resistant, closed-toe, closed-heel footwear.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Friendly, courteous, and guest-focused demeanor.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

  • Basic English communication skills sufficient to understand schedules, instructions, and cleaning procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.


Work Environment
Hospitality is a 24/7 business, and scheduling flexibility is essential. Associates may be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs. All associates are expected to maintain a professional and hospitable attitude while providing outstanding service to guests and fellow team members.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:


  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull.

  • Regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds.

  • Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • Maintain mobility throughout dining rooms, kitchens, and service areas.

  • Must wear slip-resistant, closed-toe, closed-heel footwear as part of the required uniform.
