Managing Family Law Paralegal (Virginia Family Law Experience Required)

Location: Hybrid (Must be available at least one day per week in Fairfax, VA, Leesburg, VA, or Washington, DC)
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $50 per hour

NRI Legal Resources is seeking an experienced Managing Family Law Paralegal on behalf of a confidential law firm. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Virginia family law paralegal with prior management or supervisory experience who is passionate about mentoring others while supporting a high-performing legal team.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of Virginia family law paralegals, help ensure the efficient management of cases, and provide guidance on best practices, workflows, and compliance with Virginia family law procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Virginia family law paralegals.

  • Monitor workloads and assist with case assignments to ensure timely and efficient case management.

  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing guidance to promote professional development and consistent work quality.

  • Review legal documents and case materials for accuracy and completeness.

  • Support attorneys with complex family law matters, including case preparation, discovery, and trial support.

  • Ensure compliance with Virginia family law procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.

  • Develop and maintain efficient workflows and best practices within the paralegal team.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to support the overall success of the practice.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience as a Virginia Family Law Paralegal is required.

  • Prior management, supervisory, or team leadership experience is required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Virginia family law procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Position Details
  • Full-time position.

  • Competitive compensation of $50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
