As a Facilities & Maintenance Lead, you will create and assign work orders, monitor productivity and efficiency of the team, and assist the Maintenance Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Assists Maintenance Manager with work orders, work schedules and upkeep of MTS (maintenance tracking system).
  • Creates work orders, assigns work to technicians and co-directs all work within the maintenance department. Reviews work in process and checks completed work to ensure quality and timely completion of job assignments.
  • Monitors and pro-actively addresses overtime, productivity, efficiency and work order discipline of team members.
  • Assists with and conducts daily stand-up meetings and attends daily business unit meetings in absence of Maintenance Manager.
  • Instructs other employees in the proper method and procedures of performing jobs when required.
  • Generates measures of performance (MOP's) and assists with analysis and development of actions.
  • Works with the Maintenance Manager to determine training requirements, monitors progress to the plan and addresses any gaps.
  • Provides performance evaluation input to the Maintenance Manager for team members.
  • Recognizes and understands job safety critical processes, is pro-active in risk analysis for all safety critical processes.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting any safety concerns.
  • Updates and reports out on cost of poor quality. Leads and participates in identification of root cause and corrective actions.
  • Actively promotes CI, monitors progress within the department and assists where required to ensure goals are met.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance in an applicable work area.

  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, instructions, blueprints and drawings.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience using tools, gauges and instruments necessary for the accomplishment of job duties.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience working with hazardous material handling and disposal.
  • Must possess leadership qualities to include demonstrated ability to cooperate and work well with others.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Highly proficient with in depth knowledge of products, processes and technical functions related to facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to guide and train other levels of technicians.
  • Expertise with technical documents and manuals including, but not limited to company instructions, company processes, and OEM manuals.
  • Highly proficient with in depth knowledge of products, processes and technical functions related to facilities maintenance.
  • Must have ability to perform high quality of work in a reasonable length of time, lead and direct the work of others.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including, excel, word, outlook and power point.
