Psyc Social Worker/Family Centered Treatment Therapist

Washington County, located in West Bend, Wisconsin has an excellent opportunity for a full time Family Centered Treatment Therapist. Under the general direction of the Youth Treatment Team Assistant Supervisor, the FCT Therapist provides individual and family therapy to children and families utilizing the Family Centered Treatment program.

Qualified candidates must possess:
*A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
*A current State of Wisconsin Clinical License in either Social Work or Counseling or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment.
*A valid Wisconsin driver's license, available automobile, and automobile insurance are required.
*Must be fully certified in FCT within twelve months of initial hire via the official FCT certification program, Wheels of Change. Certification is granted through the Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCT Foundation) when staff pass and show competence in required components.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
*Provides Family Centered Treatment to youth and families, adhering to and ensuring fidelity to the FCT model.
*Completes all necessary FCT assessments and documentation.
*Performs psychosocial assessment interviews, obtains social history and other relevant background.
*Provides psychotherapy for adults and children in individual, conjoint, family therapy. Services may take place in the office but are primarily held in the family home.
*Completes appropriate medical record documentation, which includes completing psychosocial histories, treatment plans, and progress notes, reflecting language related to the FCT model.
*Completes Comprehensive Community Services training and submits all required paperwork for billing
*Participates in staffing by sharing case material, clinical assessments, and treatment planning.
*Evaluates crisis cases and performs follow up.
*Serves as a clinical resource person.
*Undertakes preventative activities such as community education and consultation through public speaking and coordinated agency planning.
*Participates in staff development, student affiliations, and research projects, as appropriate.
*Communicates pertinent information on a timely basis to appropriate staff.
*Performs other duties as assigned, including responding to an emergency event.

Work Direction Received: Works under the general direction of the Youth Treatment Team Assistant Supervisor.
Supervision Exercised: None

Decision Making: Decisions concerning therapeutic interventions, treatment planning, and other daily activities are made independently.
Interaction: There is significant interaction with community services agencies, County schools and organizations, clients, and client families.

Essential Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of appropriate psychiatric social work techniques; policies and procedures of the agency; applicable State, Federal, and County laws, rules, and regulations; and various community resources. Ability to make accurate assessments, help patients in appropriate treatment, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and interact effectively with other health professionals, patients and their families, and the general public. Understanding of family driven practice, genograms, ecomaps and social histories. Understanding of the child welfare system and the interrelation between trauma and symptoms of trauma (i.e.: substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety)

Able to fulfill physical demands of job, sensory demands (seeing and hearing), and cognitive demands (concentration, conceptualization, memorization).

Training and Experience:
