Job Sumary

The Assembler is responsible for assembling routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies for a variety of commercial aerospace products. This role performs assembly operations with minimal supervision, interprets technical documentation, conducts inspections, and utilizes a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The Assembler A also supports cross-training initiatives, maintains a safe and organized work environment, and adheres to established manufacturing procedures.

Job Responsibilities



  • Assemble routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform occasional electrical assembly and soldering tasks as required.
  • Ensure assembly activities are completed accurately using the appropriate tooling and documentation.
  • Perform lock wire/safety wire installation and nameplate application.
  • Interpret blueprints, verbal instructions, and written work instructions to complete assembly tasks.
  • Prepare materials, including lapping surfaces using proper tooling techniques and compounds.
  • Utilize hand tools and precision measuring equipment, including pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor presses, vises, soldering irons, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, and dial indicators.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defective materials or assemblies and follow established procedures for nonconforming products.
  • Verify tooling calibration before use and comply with all operational procedures.
  • Participate in cross-training activities as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all workplace safety rules and regulations.
  • Support production needs by temporarily assisting in other manufacturing areas when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of two (2) years of assembly manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Must meet U.S. person requirements as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location. Relocation assistance is not provided.


Education



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of two (2) years of assembly manufacturing experience required.
  • Two or more years of aerospace assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an FAA-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) certification preferred.
