Inventory Specialist / Logistics Coordinator New Albany, OH (Data Center Environment) $23-$32/hr ( Based on experience) Contract-to-Hire 100% Onsite Why This Opportunity? As an Inventory Specialist / Logistics Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring technicians and project teams have the materials, equipment, and tools needed to keep operations running efficiently. This is a highly visible role with opportunities to gain exposure to logistics, procurement, inventory control, construction operations, and data center support. Key Responsibilities * Manage inventory for a large data center operation. * Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments and deliveries. * Coordinate material movement and logistics throughout the facility. * Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations. * Track material usage and maintain accurate inventory records. * Support procurement activities by assisting with material ordering, tracking purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries. * Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely receipt of materials. * Issue materials, tools, and equipment to technicians and project teams. * Utilize Excel and inventory management systems for reporting and documentation. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Required Experience Inventory Management Logistics Coordination Shipping & Receiving Material Handling Microsoft Excel Inventory Audits & Cycle Counts Strong Organizational Skills Attention to Detail Preferred Experience Procurement / Purchasing Support Purchase Order Tracking Vendor Management & Coordination ERP, WMS, SAP, Oracle, or Similar Inventory Systems Construction, Manufacturing, Warehouse, or Data Center Environments Ideal Backgrounds * Inventory Specialist * Inventory Control Specialist * Logistics Coordinator * Materials Coordinator * Procurement Coordinator * Warehouse Coordinator * Shipping & Receiving Clerk * Construction Materials Coordinator 30-60-90 Day Success Plan First 30 Days * Learn inventory processes, warehouse layout, and material flow procedures. * Become proficient in inventory management systems and reporting tools. * Build relationships with technicians, project managers, procurement teams, and vendors. * Assist with receiving, shipping, and inventory control activities. Days 31-60 * Independently manage inventory transactions and cycle counts. * Coordinate deliveries and material requests with minimal supervision. * Identify inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving issues. * Support procurement efforts by tracking orders and ensuring material availability. Days 61-90 * Take ownership of inventory accuracy and logistics coordination responsibilities. * Develop process improvements to improve inventory visibility and material tracking. * Serve as a key point of contact for inventory and material availability. * Help ensure project teams receive materials on time to support operational goals.
