Are you looking for a rewarding career and not just a job in the Medical field? Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, a leader in Cancer care, is seeking a Project Coordinator, Quality & Compliance to work at our Cancer Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

SCOPE:

Under general supervisor supports all activities associated with the development and implementation of quality and compliance projects. Assists with the implementation continuous quality improvement programs that are in partnership with third party payors. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performs audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently met

- Assists in meeting regulatory and statutory requirements by providing standardized and

customized statistical data.

-Responsible for trending, researching, analyzing and maintaining data bases for quality

and compliance initiatives.

-Provide project support to the clinical governance council and QI committees

-Assists and supports the implementation of practice wide clinical quality initiatives and

or PQE initiatives.

-Supports Compliance and Human Resources by assisting in training and in services

-Assist the sites in peer review and E & M audits and reporting and other audits as

assigned

-Variance reporting trending

-Resolution of patient and customer service complaints, tracking

-HIPAA and Compliance training, auditing

-Assists in policy editing and revisions

-Researches and responds to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and

professional manner. Obtains assistant to resolve complex inquiries, in order to discuss

and learn.

-Coordinates quality management and accreditation activities for the VCS Cellular Therapy Program .

-Supports compliance with FACT standards by maintaining accreditation documentation, quality records, audit evidence, corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA), and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

- Coordinates annual review and revision of Cellular Therapy Program policies, procedures, forms, and quality management documents in accordance with FACT requirements.

-Assists with internal audits, mock inspections, manufacturer audits, and FACT accreditation surveys

- Coordinates Cellular Therapy Quality Management Committee meetings, prepares agendas and minutes, and tracks follow-up actions and quality initiatives.

- Ensures timely and accurate submission of CIBMTR forms, cellular therapy outcomes data, and required reports to maintain compliance with FACT accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management objectives.

-Other duties as requested or assigned.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare, business, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in quality assurance, statistical analysis, or heath care management. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
