THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role oversees a wide-range of clerical operations and human resource activities within Bucks County, ensuring accurate processes and strong support for employees. As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Staff Oversight: Supervise and support clerical employees to maintain efficient county office operations
  • Human Resource Coordination: Manage hiring actions, training schedules, onboarding tasks, and employee records
  • Record Management: Maintain personnel files, track certifications, and update organizational charts and seniority lists
  • Administrative Support: Prepare documents, schedule events, and provide reception services when needed
  • Operational Tracking: Review reports, monitor overtime usage, and maintain logs for bids, training, and personnel actions
  • Customer Interaction: Respond to public inquiries, route communications, and process requests related to claims and programs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Work hours subject to change based on operational needs.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on an ad hoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office located at the Bucks County Maintenance Office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
