Salary: $44,700 - $65,200.00 (AS III)


What your job will be like:
Perform a variety of activities in support of functional areas of the Safeguards and Security Program supporting the Physical Protection - DOE Security and Local Site Specific Only (LSSO) Badges, and Personnel Security sub-programs. Provide administrative support to Jefferson Lab Badging Office operations and staff, performing the primary Registrar/Activator role for enrolling staff into the USAccess program for issuance of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) compliant Personal Identity Verification (PIV) DOE Security Badges.
In this job you will:
  • Serve as primary Registrar/Activator for Jefferson Lab staff and users for enrollment and issuance of HSPD-12 compliant DOE security badges.
  • Assists the Badge Office Supervisor with processing badging related service requests in the ServiceNow incident tracking system.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource to fully resolve staff inquiries relating to the accurate processing of eQIP forms and badging requirements.
  • Production and issuance of DOE Security and LSSO access badges.
  • Performing administrative support duties to update and maintain websites, policies and other assigned documents.
  • Establishing and maintaining filing systems, establishing work procedures and collating information.
  • Performing various administrative support duties that involve handling, storage, transmission and disposition of sensitive information.
  • Assists with administering the Personnel Security program - performing quality control review tasks associated with initiating background investigations for both Cleared and Uncleared staff for issuance of DOE Security Badges
  • Maintain positive communication and customer service relationships throughout the Lab.
Experience
  • Required: 5 or more years Experience working in a high-volume interface environment, adapting to competing priorities and multi-tasking.
  • Required: Experience preparing presentations and creating spreadsheets/databases.
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma
Experience and Education Exchange

Education above the minimum may be substituted for experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High level of knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize in a multi-task environment as well as to independently identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Advance written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from varying backgrounds.
