What you'll be doing...

You'll join the network equipment repair and quality team where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the wireline network repair and quality operation. This equipment is reused throughout the network and allows for nearly three hundred million dollars in new purchase cost avoidance. You'll be part of a team of individuals who work daily with OEMs, third party vendors, warehouse logistics, field operations and engineering teams to process a high volume of repairs and improve quality to bolster network reliability.

Working across the company, you'll use your analytical expertise to identify trends, issues and opportunities, all with the goal of improving the customer experience and finding ways to make our business even better. While maintaining day to day operations is imperative, you'll also develop and manage large scale transformational projects/programs for the optimization of the operation and its quality.

  • Leveraging your analytical skills to mine and transform large data sets to provide KPI visibility to senior management for key business insight, automation of processes, and trend analysis to identify areas of improvement.

  • Turning data into knowledge and actionable improvements for both the repair and quality operations.

  • Maintaining key performance indicators within expected targets (e.g., on time delivery rate, yield rate, cost, out of box failure rates, unrepairable rates, aged WIP rates, back order volume, and more).

  • Maintaining open communication channels with third party vendors and OEMs via weekly meetings, quarterly business reviews and other periodic check-ins to foster an environment of constant communication and collaboration.

  • Integrating warehouse operations with repair vendor operations to resolve any shipping and receiving issues to maintain expected service level agreements.

  • Creating automated data sharing paths between third party vendors, OEMs and internal systems to facilitate process visibility.

  • Recommending and implementing automation of processes to optimize current manual processes tied to the management of warehouse spares and repair.

  • Identifying SAP system gaps and resolving them.

  • Owning, managing and executing day to day repair planning operations to support finished good targets by determining optimal repair volumes and ensuring all SKUs have valid third party or OEM repair support.

  • Engaging stakeholders to ensure current and future business needs are met.

  • Working with field teams to effectively influence cross-functional team collaborations in the design and implementation of transformative programs.

  • Improving knowledge base of network equipment and repair capabilities.

  • Coordinating with engineering teams on planned equipment decommissioning projects for capital expense relief.

  • Supporting quality improvement efforts by achieving specific targets relating back to repaired equipment reliability.
