Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Residential Patrol Officer at a premier apartment community, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. In a caring, teamwork-driven culture, you will bring reliability, integrity, and a people-first approach to every shift.

Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift 4-10's Hours

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and maintenance-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and amenity areas, observe coming and going activity, and address questions and/or concerns in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Document incidents, daily activities, and notable observations, and communicate clearly with residents, visitors, property management, and Allied Universal personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
