As a Security Officer Proactive Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming campus atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism, and bring agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity to each shift.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities across an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate campus contacts and/or first responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Support campus operations during classes, events, and after-hours activity by providing directions, assisting with traffic and pedestrian flow, and addressing routine security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
