Job Location: Columbia, MD Hourly Rate: Up to $32hr depending on experience Shift: 1st shift \| 9/80 work week schedule \| Off every other Friday! Support defense manufacturing excellence from day one. Advantage Technical is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Quality Inspector for a temp-to-perm opportunity with a defense manufacturer in Columbia, MD. What You'll Do (Job Duties) Inspect, test, sort, sample, and weigh raw materials, machined, fabricated, and assembled electro-mechanical parts and products for defects, wear, and specification deviations Use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment to conduct performance testing and verify product conformance Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, work orders, and work instructions Record inspection results, test procedures, and data; detect and correct or report errors and omissions Red-tag and segregate non-conforming items; report results to stakeholders and supervision Monitor production machinery and maintain a safe work environment Grade, classify, and sort products; assess consistency of production quality Obtain purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and correct drawing revisions governing items to be inspected Determine required inspection extent from sampling plans and procedures Complete training to technical standards including AWS or IPC as required What You Bring (Required Qualifications and Experience) 5+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment (military experience considered equivalent) 2+ years of inspection experience using precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints - required Preferred: CAD, welding, QA, or electronics experience; DoD or aerospace background; IPC-A-620 or weld inspection certification High school diploma or equivalent; trade/vocational school or technical college coursework desired Must be able to meet ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizenship, to be considered for this role Benefits Weekly direct deposits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Optional 401(k) Take the first step toward your next opportunity.
