Key Position Details:

  • Collaborative practice environment where you will work closely with neurology and neurosurgery teams

  • Robust hospitalist support on the inpatient rehabilitation unit

  • Established team with five dedicated staff members with a wide range of tenure

  • Monday - Friday work schedule

  • Call requirement: once every 6th week. Saturday/Sunday consists of rounding on patients on the inpatient unit during daytime hours

Job Description:

As a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health, you will see patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings and provide consult services. You will evaluate, diagnose, provide consultation, and make recommendations for patients with developmental or acquired physical or neurological impairment, including the design and monitoring of rehabilitative programs.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient, outpatient and consult services with a strong focus on neurorehabilitation patients

  • Evaluates, diagnoses, provides consultation and makes recommendations for patients with developmental or acquired physical or neurological impairment including the design and monitoring of rehabilitative programs

  • Spasticity management experience, including evaluation, treatment planning, and therapies is strongly preferred

  • For diagnosis and evaluation, it may include the techniques of electromyography to supplement the standard history and physical, X-ray and laboratory examinations

  • Uses expertise in the appropriate use of therapeutic exercise, prosthetics (artificial limbs), orthotics and mechanical and electrical devices

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Physical Medicine and Rehab residency

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required and must be board certified or be eligible for board certification within Physical Medicine and Rehab upon hire
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 180 Days
  • Licensed Physician - WI and must be board certified or be eligible for board certification within Physical Medicine and Rehab upon hire required
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required
  • Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required
  • National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work*:
  • Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $258,825 to $305,580 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
