Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor of Clinical Teaching: * A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. o Substitution: A direct-entry master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. * A master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. * A record of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Instructor in the Clinical Series: Clinical Teaching Track. * Eligible to obtain an unencumbered nursing license in Colorado. Sr. Instructor of Clinical Teaching: * A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. o Substitution: A direct-entry master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. * A master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. * A record of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Senior Instructor in the Clinical Series: Clinical Teaching Track. * Eligible to obtain an unencumbered nursing license in Colorado. Assistant Professor of Clinical Teaching: * A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. o Substitution: A direct-entry master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. * An earned (research or professional) doctorate in an appropriate field of science, nursing, social science, education, or related area from an accredited institution of higher education. * A record of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Assistant Professor in the Clinical Series: Clinical Teaching Track

Associate Professor of Clinical Teaching: * A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. o Substitution: A direct-entry master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. * An earned (research or professional) doctorate in an appropriate field of science, nursing, social science, education, or related area from an accredited institution of higher education. * A record of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Associate Professor in the Clinical Series: Clinical Teaching Track o Minimum qualifications for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor include recognition as an expert teacher and sustained commitment to a program of scholarship * Eligible to obtain an unencumbered nursing license in Colorado. Professor of Clinical Teaching: * A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. o Substitution: A direct-entry master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. * An earned (research or professional) doctorate in an appropriate field of science, nursing, social science, education, or related area from an accredited institution of higher education. * A record of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Professor in the Clinical Series: Clinical Teaching Track o Minimum qualifications for appointment at the rank of Professor include recognition as a master teacher, sustained leadership in teaching, expertise in curriculum development and teaching innovations, and a sustained commitment to peer reviewed scholarly work * Eligible to obtain an unencumbered nursing license in Colorado. Preferred Qualifications: * Expertise in acute and primary care across the lifespan and/or teaching undergraduate nursing courses. * Experience mentoring undergraduate nursing students.
