General Purpose

This is the entry level into the Loan Servicer position. With direct supervision, the Loan Servicer I is responsible for the booking of loans such as HELOC's, Consumer Loan Division, and Commercial RRLOC.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Works through loan prioritization, organization and booking simple loans including the funding and filing of documents.
  • Books loans to the system in a timely manner, meeting service level agreements with help from staff and following established processes that are created by their Supervisor.
  • Quality Control Audits conducted on files should not exceed 10% threshold, after 6 months of hire date.
  • Develops and maintains a good rapport and communicate effectively with internal departments.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned and/or time allows.
  • Becomes familiar with Alpine Bank Loan Policy, Documentation and Compliance requirements for all types of loans.
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:



  • Basic knowledge of financial lending.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping skills.
  • Strong detail orientation, multi-tasking skills, and organizational skills enabling the individual to work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiar with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Pro.
  • Skill and ability to respond promptly to customer needs.
  • Understands the importance of confidential information.


Education or Formal Training:



  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent required.


Experience:



  • Preferred but not required, a minimum of one (1) year working as a Loan Assistant or Loan Maintenance department at a financial institution.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis.


Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and multifunction printers.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to reach for and lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may have to lift up to 25 pounds.

Starting Rate of Pay is from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
