Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory

• Perform comparative hematology, clinical chemistry testing, blood bank, urinalysis and coagulation testing as well as assist in the development of new diagnostic tests applicable to animal species.
• Actively participate in sample analysis along with other technicians.
• Ensure even distribution and coordination of work in the laboratory
• Ensure analysis conducted for investigators follows the guidelines set forth by the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Act
• Coordinate research services for biomedical investigations
• Communicate with clinical pathologists, clinicians, professional students and biomedical investigators.
• Train emergency technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a closely related field. Experience with state of the art clinical laboratory analyzers. ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Board Certification.

1-2 years of laboratory experience. Expertise in quality control and laboratory information systems with interest in test development and application.

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 7/15/2026. Salary is commensurate with experience. The budgeted annual salary range for the position
is $45,000 to $65,000. Final salary offered will be determined by a
thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate
experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget
constraints. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work
authorization.
