This position is ideal for a collaborative and proactive team member who has a positive, can-do attitude, and who excels in thoughtful analysis and collaborative decision making. Responsibilities include purchase order maintenance, product replenishment, expediting, product research with approved third party vendors, problem resolution, material master maintenance. Ideally, you bring a clear customer focus, both internal and external, along with good analytical skills to identify continuous improvement opportunities. We are looking for a strong communicator who thrives when balancing multiple supportive tasks.

  • Execute Make to Order - creates production orders/purchase orders and any stock transport order. Check for priority rush orders.

  • Check with production locations that rush requests were approved before sending to production.

  • Review requisitions for vendor ordered products. Convert the requisitions to purchase orders. Work with plants on any questionable quantities.

  • Review requisitions for stock transport orders for spec gas products. Convert the requisitions to purchase orders for MRP controller 102 and 202.

  • Work with branches on any questionable quantities.

  • Review report for procured spec gas materials and set source list.

  • Update MRP settings as necessary.

  • Setup info record for vendor materials if one doesn't exist.

  • Review daily extension report for accuracy.

  • Review sales orders for any customer specific requirements.

  • Tie inventory as requested.

  • Review PO expedite report and follow up with vendors on purchase orders that are late, record updates on the notes and notify the plant.

  • Receive order acknowledgements from vendors and update purchase order with vendor ship date and order #.

  • Create purchase orders/ STO's for lab standards/ internal use gases as requested.

  • Forward late order notifications to affected Airgas regions, ASG locations and international group.

  • Review the Unfulfilled demand and process items that may have been missed on the make to order report.

  • Follow the approval process for creating purchase orders.

  • Shop for the most excellent value on raw materials.

  • Order any raw materials requested by production facilities.

  • Manage changes to customer orders as requested. Update all downstream documents.

  • Contact vendor if needed for cancellation requests. Reject line item on order.

  • Coordinator movement of orders from one ASG plant to another with ASG locations and regional SG Coordinators & log on order movement document.

  • Provide general assistance to regions and ASG Operations teams when requested.

  • Maintain log for valve sales to regional locations. Invoice regions for valves through the service fee process.

  • Manage heavy email traffic. Set stock levels when requested.

  • Maintain the resale cylinder log.

  • Assist and support ASG CSR team when necessary, with part extension and plant standards.

  • Research issues and build alignment to resolve discrepancies.

  • Review region source path to ensure they are ordering based on geographic areas to satisfy demand.

  • Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.
