THE POSITION

Step into the role of Human Services Licensing Representative at the Department of Human Services and lead efforts that matter. You will inspect licensed homes, correct violations, and offer support that improves daily living for residents. Your work will involve collaboration with agencies and active problem-solving. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position helps ensure that community service providers follow the rules and standards that keep people safe and supported. The role involves inspections, investigations, and guidance for providers across the region. As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will perform the following duties:

  • Inspection Preparation: Review prior inspection materials and available system data to plan upcoming inspections
  • Conduct Inspections: Examine community programs to measure compliance with regulations for various service settings
  • Summaries and Reports: Prepare licensing summaries that describe findings and identify areas of non compliance
  • Licensure Review: Evaluate plans of correction and recommend approval or denial of provider licensure
  • Provider Guidance: Offer direction to providers to help them understand and correct noncompliant practices
  • Complaint Investigation: Investigate complaints received about community service providers and report findings

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position requires frequent travel throughout the Southeast Region which includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
  • This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Southeast Region (which includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties) by the time of hire.
