THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports statewide medical assistance policies for school-based services and helps ensure that children with disabilities receive appropriate support. It involves reviewing regulations, writing policy materials, and assisting with major program activities in the School-Based ACCESS Program. As a Human Services Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

  • Policy Review: Analyze federal and state rules to determine needed updates to medical assistance policies
  • Policy Development: Write and revise policies and procedures related to school-based medical assistance services
  • Research Support: Collect and evaluate information used to guide program planning and improvements
  • Program Analysis: Assess program operations and recommend solutions for identified issues
  • Document Preparation: Develop reports, briefings, and written materials for leadership and stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide answers to inquiries from providers, agencies, and others regarding program policy

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
