THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on evaluating behavioral health managed care programs and supporting counties and providers in meeting statewide standards. As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Regulatory Guidance: Provide consultation to counties and providers on community mental health rules and program expectations
  • Compliance Review: Conduct on-site inspections, assess documentation, and identify areas needing corrective action
  • Data Assessment: Collect and interpret information to determine adherence to contract and regulatory requirements
  • Community Engagement: Participate in meetings and work with community groups to understand needs and share departmental guidance
  • Reporting Tasks: Prepare clear reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and policy interpretations
  • Interagency Coordination: Work with partner agencies to verify information and address trends or compliance concerns

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report to 303 Walnut Street, 12th Floor, Commonwealth Tower in Harrisburg, PA, 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
