DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides essential clerical and office support to keep the Education Department operating efficiently. You will assist with communication, scheduling, record keeping, and general office tasks that support daily activities. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Phone and Mail: Answer calls, direct inquiries, handle messages, and process incoming and outgoing mail
- Document Support: Prepare, review, correct, and distribute documents and assist with scanning and meeting materials
- Scheduling Tasks: Coordinate appointments, meetings, videoconferences, and provide support with minutes and travel arrangements
- Record Management: Maintain filing systems, update databases, enter reports, and process supply requests
- Office Coordination: Compile records, track data, monitor supplies, assist with program preparation, and support apprenticeship program reporting

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
