Position Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately pulling raw materials to support production, receiving and properly storing incoming materials, and preparing outbound orders in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret customer orders; accurately pick and pull products from inventory.
- Enter and maintain data in the ERP system with a high level of accuracy.
- Pack products according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Stack cartons on pallets, shrink-wrap, and apply proper labeling/placarding.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight, including trucks and tank wagons.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with housekeeping activities, including the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste. Training for hazardous waste disposal will be provided initially by Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or a supervisor, with annual refresher training conducted by the EHS department.
- Comply with all company quality standards, safety policies, and work rules.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store equipment after use.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Preferred education level: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience level: One to three years of work experience preferred and in a related field is preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ERP systems, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Forklift certification is strongly preferred; Hazmat certification a plus (training provided).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrates safe, clean work habits and the ability to handle large volumes of liquid and raw materials.
- Basic math skills required, including multiplication, division, and the ability to convert measurements; familiarity with the metric system preferred.
- Experience using warehouse and material handling equipment preferred, including forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, and walk-behind), freight elevators, drum handling equipment, scales, gauges, wrenches, and ladders.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements Physical Demands
- Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area.
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control objects, tools, or equipment.
- Required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulder level.
- Occasional operation of machinery using foot controls
- May be required to climb, balance, and reach overhead as part of job duties.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.
- Respirators and ear plugs are required for specific production processes.
