Job Summary: |
The Division of Urology in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has a full- time (1.0 FTE) faculty position available at the rank of Assistant Professor. These duties will include inpatient and outpatient clinical services, as well as inpatient and outpatient surgeries at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Anschutz Medical Campus and the surrounding care sites that span across the Denver metro. The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services, conduct research, and medically direct residents at the Hospital. Close collaboration with colleagues, hospital and clinic staff will be necessary. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in facilitating the growth of Pediatric Urology programs
- Participating in the expansion of a vibrant educational and research component
- Provide inpatient/outpatient medical care services, research and resident training for Urology at Children's
- The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services, supervise nurses and other staff in providing independent clinical services for patients, conduct research and medically direct residents at the Hospital.
- These duties will include inpatient and outpatient surgeries and responsibilities
- Close collaboration with colleagues, hospital and clinic staff will be necessary
- Participate in faculty meetings within division and department, continuing education locally and at national levels

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. * Medical Degree from an accredited school of medicine Board certified or board eligible in pediatric urology Current license to practice as a physician in the state of Colorado with prescriptive privileges * Fellowship trained Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in academic medicine * Demonstrated proficiency in pediatric urology clinical, educational, and research efforts * Ability to communicate clearly as an integral member of a team Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $300,000 - $328,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
