Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers. Job Summary
Supervises technicians in construction, operation and ongoing maintenance of complex automation, measurement and gas processing systems. Manages all aspects of the field activities relating to technical direction, adherence to standards and procedures. Responsible for managing multiple construction and ongoing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) projects related to gas measurement and controls. Leads implementation and maintains cybersecurity requirements for federal and state regulatory compliance on a widespread, complex control system. Oversee daily activities to ensure compliance with Operator Qualifications and Codes & Standards requirements. Span of control is 8-15 FTEs. Key Accountabilities
* Ensures compliance with Michigan Gas Safety standards, Federal regulations, and American Gas Association measurement standards relating to operation and maintenance of control and measurement equipment. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology with 7 years of experience in principles and theory relating to the operation of gas measurement and gas quality equipment with 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications
* Transmission and Distribution pipeline exposure and compressor station experience * Familiar with the basics of gas control and scada Other Qualificiations: * Requires the physical capacity to work in a gas handling facility, e.g. climb stairs, work in hot confined environments. Incumbents will need to stand, bend, lift up to 20lbs. Regular exposure to elements (heat, cold, inclement weather). Additional Information
