Overview

The Director, Health Systems Marketing is responsible for developing marketing strategies for integrated health systems (IDNs / IPNs) and delivering marketing resources and programs to drive differentiated engagement with Care Delivery Executives (e.g., C/D-suite leaders across clinical, operational, and population health within health systems).

Key Responsibilities

Strategy development

  • Lead the development and refresh of Alnylam's U.S. health systems marketing strategy in partnership with Strategic Accounts Leads, Market Access, Brand Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders, grounded in market research insights & quantitative landscape data & analytics
  • Lead segmentation & prioritization of IDN/IPNs and organized customers to help inform health systems marketing strategy and field execution

Marketing tactics design & execution

  • Design and execute health systems marketing campaigns, including tactics and contents such as value propositions and messages tailored to Care Delivery Executives to further education on Alnylam's therapies and disease areas
  • Support planning and implementation of peer-to-peer programs, conferences, and other programs
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and compliance to ensure compliant development and execution of marketing initiatives
  • Ensure effective agency management and resource allocation

Enterprise Strategic Initiatives

  • Actively participate and support Alnylam's enterprise (TTR and Rare) strategic initiatives as a subject matter experts on U.S. health systems strategy and marketing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in healthcare or business or related field; Advanced degree (MBA, MS or similar) preferred
  • 10-12+ years of biopharma commercial experience with 3-5+ years in health systems / account-based marketing; rare disease marketing experience is preferred
  • Track record of developing and implementing account-based marketing tactics and resources through open collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of U.S. health system environments
  • Strong acumen in U.S. healthcare compliance guidelines, laws, and practices

Location: HQ / Hybrid; Flexibility to co-locate at Alnylam HQ at least 2+ days a week on average and travel to key conferences and internal meetings

U.S. Pay Range

$201,900.00 - $273,100.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
