Basic Function The Career and Education Department at Porterville College is seeking a faculty member for an Automotive Technology Instructor - Electric Vehicle Technician Program, Temp, Full-Time (COF) Instructor position at the Porterville College location, with a passion for battery replacement technology, renewable energy, and the growing green economy, to join our instructional team. We are currently recruiting an Automotive Technology Instructor to teach in our new Electric Vehicle Technician Program. History of Porterville College: Porterville College was established in 1927 as a part of the Porterville Union High School and College District and has been a unit of the Kern Community College District since July 1, 1967. Porterville College is the northernmost college in the Kern Community College District, which serves an area of some 24,000 square miles in all or portions of Kern, Tulare, Inyo, and San Bernardino Counties. Minimum Qualifications Any bachelor's degree or higher AND two years of professional experience, OR - Any associate degree AND six years of professional experience. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment. OR - The equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for these positions.
