About the Role

AVIAN is seeking a Non-Supervisory Contracts (Administrator) Manager (Career Level 3/4) as a member of its Corporate Contracts Team who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of assigned company Prime and Subcontracts including negotiation, financial execution, and tracking. This role works closely with Project Control Analysts, Program Managers (PM), Sector leads and other relevant Operations personnel to ensure effective contract management. This position serves as a primary interface between customers, internal Program Managers, and the company and requires expertise in FAR/DFARS, contract clauses, and subcontract management.



Responsibilities

As a member of a team of contract managers, the position will be responsible for the following: the administration, financial tracking, analysis, and compliance of assigned Prime and subcontracts.

An example of responsibilities may include:

    Negotiate/execute assigned/designated Prime and Subcontracts and related documents.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal Program Managers, providing guidance on contractual matters
  • Prepare labor, travel, and material estimates.
  • Analyze financial execution.
  • Draft, and submit finalized reports regarding contractual execution status (such as Limitation of Funds, Funds and Expenditure Reports).
  • Analyze and interpret complex contract terms, conditions, and clauses to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities
  • Develop and implement contract management strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Interpret impact and requirements of contract terms, FAR clauses, and special instructions.
  • Provide expert advice on FAR/DFARS requirements and regulatory compliance to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations throughout contract execution.
  • Interface with multiple companies, Government representatives, and corporate departments for contract execution.
  • Assist in preparing subcontract funding modifications and subcontract documentation.
  • Input contract related documentation and information into Costpoint.
  • Other contracts related administrative and financial tasking as necessary.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant government contracting regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing both prime contracts and subcontracts in the defense industry.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes and contract types
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to analyze complex contractual and financial information
  • Experience with contract management software and systems
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., NCMA certifications) strongly preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum of two (2-5) years of work-related experience for Career Level 3 candidates, Minimum of 5-8 years of work-related experienve for Career Level 4 candidates.
  • Proficient Excel skills are required to perform tasks.
  • Candidates possessing Deltek Cost Point experience are highly desired.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • BS in Business Administration, Finance or other related field(s) is preferred. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Salary range:$90,000 - $110,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
