Middleware Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Middleware Administrator for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves providing end-to-end middleware administration for high-availability online banking and eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production stability, performing software patching, and supporting application teams in a 24x7 environment. Key technologies include WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, and Apache.

Responsibilities:

• Provide middleware administration duties for online banking and eCommerce platforms, including WebLogic, WebSphere, Jboss, Tomcat, Apache, and IBM HTTP Server
• Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives
• Ensure production stability and that middleware platforms are patched with the most current version of software
• Perform Middleware Application Server administration including server installation, configuration, performance tuning, and production support
• Support and conduct production change management duties
• Work with application and testing teams daily to provide Middleware and Java support
• Design Middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability
• Interface with internal customers and external vendors throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent field experience
• 5+ years of experience as an Information Technology professional
• At least 3 years supporting WebLogic, Jboss, Tomcat, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, and similar middleware products
• Experience with shell, jython, and Perl scripting
• Expertise with performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and DynaTrace
• Knowledge of Java/Container framework
• Expertise with Ansible and Bladelogic toolset
• Understanding of web application communication protocols (SOAP, HTTP, XML)
• Excellent knowledge of core network services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, HTTP)
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems with hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Willing and able to work in a 24x7 environment, including after-hours and weekend support

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
