About the Role We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - Packing (Machine Operator, Subway Packing) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. In this role, you will operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure a consistent flow of finished goods, accurate labeling, and compliance with food safety, quality, and production standards. Shift & Schedule Shift: 3rd Hours: 10PM - 6:30AM Weekend availability: Required Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing) Operate and monitor packing, labeling, and metal detection equipment to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient packaging Ensure products meet all food safety, legality, and quality specifications, including HACCP and GMP requirements Maintain a consistent flow of finished goods to palletizing and shipping operations Perform equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and waste Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and on time Communicate effectively with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Shipping teams Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area to support safe operations Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Basic math, timekeeping, and documentation skills Ability to make logical decisions in a production environment Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Willingness to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and changing production schedules Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment Experience operating packaging or automated production equipment Familiarity with metal detectors, labeling systems, and case packing equipment Understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety practices Experience training or supporting other operators Aspire Bakeries is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
