About the Role

We are seeking a Tech 1, Bakery - Sanitation to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As a Tech 1, Bakery - Sanitation, you will be accountable for maintaining food safety by cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing bakery equipment and work areas to support safe and efficient production operations.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 3rd
• Hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Weekend availability: Required

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met across assigned bakery areas
• Clean, sanitize, and prepare equipment to be productionready for the next run
• Operate and maintain sanitation and wasteremoval equipment safely
• Follow SSOPs and maintain accurate sanitation documentation
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in compliance with MSDS guidelines
• Support teambased sanitation activities while working independently as needed
• Train and support new sanitation team members

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a light industrial environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to operate sanitation equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers, steam cleaners)
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds or more
• Ability to work in cold, wet, dusty, slippery environments and at extreme heights

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
• Industrial truck or powered equipment experience
• Experience maintaining sanitation records and documentation
• Familiarity with MSDS and chemical handling standards
• Onthejob training or peer mentoring experience
