Temple University's Ambler: Recreation Services Department is searching for a Temporary Part-Time Seasonal Lifeguard!

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Position Summary
The Temporary Lead Lifeguard at Temple University's Ambler Campus is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient daily operation of the outdoor pool during the summer season. This role provides on-site leadership by overseeing pool safety, assisting with daily setup and operations, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests, including K-12 students and campers.

The Lead Lifeguard monitors pool activities, enforces safety protocols, responds to emergencies, and communicates effectively with staff and patrons. Additional responsibilities include conducting routine water testing, maintaining cleanliness and organization of pool and locker room areas, and assisting with special events throughout the season.

This is a seasonal position running from early June through late September, with a schedule that is primarily weekdays and includes some weekend shifts based on pool programming and events.

Job Details
* This position requires the following background checks: criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting.
* Offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.

Required Education and Experience
* 2 years of experience as a lifeguard.
* Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
* CPR Certification.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Prior experience conducting water tests.
