What You Will Do:

GFT is a leader in infrastructure planning, design, and program management, delivering innovative solutions that support critical transportation and infrastructure systems across the nation. As we continue to expand into high-growth markets, we are seeking a Market Sector Leader (MSL) for our Data Centers practice.

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and positioning GFT as a recognized leader in the data center sector. The MSL will serve as the face of GFT in the marketplace, leading business development initiatives, cultivating client relationships, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver sustained, profitable growth.

What you will be challenged to do
  • Lead the strategic growth and market expansion of GFT's Data Center sector
  • Establish GFT as a recognized industry leader through client engagement and market visibility
  • Develop and execute market strategies that drive pipeline, bookings, and revenue growth
  • Navigate complex business environments to identify opportunities and expand into new markets, geographies, and service offerings
  • Influence and align internal stakeholders to achieve enterprise-wide growth objectives
In this capacity you will be responsible for the following
  • Developing and executing annual and long-term market sector strategic plans, including sales and marketing initiatives
  • Delivering measurable growth in pipeline, wins, and bookings, and supporting conversion to revenue
  • Leading and supporting major pursuits, including Top Corporate Pursuits (TCPs), in collaboration with regional and corporate leadership
  • Providing market intelligence, including competitive analysis, client targeting, and service positioning
  • Establishing go-to-market strategies and executing 30/60/90-day action plans
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Representing GFT at industry events and forums to elevate brand visibility
  • Collaborating with Business Growth & Sales, Regional Sales Leaders, and other Market Sector Leaders to achieve KPIs
  • Advising and supporting Client Service Teams on strategy, pursuits, and project delivery approaches
  • Participating in the recruitment and development of key talent within the market sector
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in professional services, including significant leadership in business development, operations, or market growth
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies within the data center or related infrastructure markets
  • Established client network across public and/or private sectors, with national or multi-regional reach
  • Proven ability to generate and convert business opportunities, including leading large, complex pursuits
  • Strong understanding of market trends, competitive positioning, and service delivery models
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence, communicate, and build relationships at all levels
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across regions and business units
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
